Thermal Conductivity Measurement Services

Measurement of the thermal conductivity of liquids

Absolute measurements of the thermal conductivity of liquids are performed with the Transient Hot-wire instrument employing 2 anodized Tantalum wires, with an uncertainty of about 1%.
Temperature range : -60 to +200 ‘C
Pressure range : 0.1 MPa (1 bar) to 30 MPa (300 bars)

Measurement of the thermal conductivity of gases

Absolute measurements of the thermal conductivity of gases are performed with the Transient Hot-wire instrument employing 2 Platinum wires, with an uncertainty of about 1%.
Temperature range : 0 to +200 ‘C
Pressure range : 0.1 MPa (1 bar) to 30 MPa (300 bars)

Measurement of the thermal conductivity of solid insulators or metals

Measurements of the thermal conductivity of solids are performed a) with the Transient Hot-wire instrument employing 2 Platinum wires embedded in a silicone film, with an uncertainty of about 2%, or b) Guarded Heat-Flow meter with an uncertainty of about 5%.
Temperature range : 0 to +60 ‘C
Pressure range : 0.1 MPa (1 bar)
